| 1. Great stay! | Htown Rocks (Houston, TX) | 05/2009 | 09/2009 | |
| If you are looking for a romantic quiet place, this is the place for you. The villa and sceneries are beautiful. The lagoon is in walking distance and it's just simply gorgeous! I would definitely come back. | ||||
| 2. Great stay | Relaxing123 (Torrance) | 08/2009 | 09/2009 | |
| My family and I had a great experience in the Villa and at the resort itself. Very nice location, quiet with nice pools and lagoon in close proximity. The villa was very well maintained. I have had bad experiences with online rentals in the past but this villa was exceptional. Would recommend to anyone wanting a secluded relaxing stay in Oahu | ||||
| 3. Beautiful, Upscale Property | Wendi W (San Francisco, California) | 09/2009 | 09/2009 | |
| Our stay at Thu's unit was amazing! When we arrived at the unit, we were delighted to see that it was exactly as described; i.e., the contemporary upscale and tasteful European furniture, 3 LCD flat screen TVs (one in each room), a dream kitchen with professional high-end stainless steel appliances (Sub-Zero/Wolf), remote control curtain in the living room, Bosch washer/dryer and beautiful artwork. This property exceeded our expectations. There's a state of the art gym with a beautiful rest area/sauna, two gorgeous pools, a bar by the lagoon, and 2 BBQs. What we liked most was the privacy and secluded surroundings where we were able to enjoy the beauty of Hawaii and not the hustle and bustle of the city. We highly recommend Thu's property to anyone who wishes to come to Hawaii for a relaxing stay in the comforts of a luxurious posh apartment in an exclusive ocean beachfront resort villa. Once you've had the experience of staying at this property, you'll never settle for anything less. We now found our ultimate vacation home in Hawaii. |

| 4. Simply Amazing Ko Olina Beach Villas! | East Coast Virginians (Ashburn, Virginia ) | 07/2009 | 08/2009 | |
| Where does one begin....We have previously rented from HomeAway and I must say this has been the best experience yet! Thu is absolutely the most flexible, helpful, efficient and most informative owner we have ever dealt with. A pure pleasure to work with! Ko Olina is one of the best resorts on O'ahu. The beautiful and relaxing Villa was exactly as described - clean, nicely appointed, and great location. The Beach Villas were close enough to all the attractions, yet far enough to enjoy the beach and tranquility of the resort. Our teenagers really enjoyed snorkeling in the Lagoon. Some of the attractions not to be missed were Pearl Harbor (get there early), Diamond Head State Monument, North Shore (Don't forget Matsumoto Shave ice), Dole Pineapple plantation. Costco and Target were life savers to us! Purchase your food at these locations, and make use of the wonderful grills on the property. Just a final note, our deposit check arrived home before we did. We can't say enough positive things about this property, therefore we will have to return soon to enjoy it once again. | ||||
| 5. Loved it | Paddywack (Sydney, Australia) | 09/2009 | 08/2009 | |
| The Villa was gorgeous. Everything was first class. It had everything you would ever need or want. The owner was great to deal with and the booking was made easy.
Ko Olina itself is just beautiful. Great for families. We will be back for sure. |

| This condo is GORGEOUS. The grounds are also amazingI can't list one bad thing about this place. We will be returning soon! The owner is very helpful and prompt. | ||||
| 7. Ko Olina Beach Villas | Fuji (walnut creek, ca) | 06/2009 | 07/2009 | |
| We had a great time at the Koolina Beach Villas. Great accommodation with 2 large pools and a beautiful "almost" private beach with decent snorkeling experience. Very relaxing unlike the crowded Marriott's time share next door. I would definitely return to this property if I go to Oahu next time. | ||||
| 8. Luxury, privacy and convenience.. total package!! | 3dh (Tucson, AZ) | 06/2009 | 06/2009 | |
| It felt like we had a home on the beach!!! Equipped with all of the same high-end amenities we have at home, we were very pleased with Thu's condo, its resort-like setting, and with our decision to go with Thu's condo over competing units. A spacious split two bedroom floorplan, a fabulous fitness center, two excellent restaurants within short walking distance (Roy's and Chuck Steakhouse) and an outdoor bar located on the premises overlooking the beach/ocean provided us the total package- the luxury, privacy and overall vacation experience we were looking for. We admit that we initially were very skeptical and hesitated dong business on-line. But everything worked out exactly like Thu explained that it would and we could not have been happier with the outcome. We would highly recommend Thu's condo to others. | ||||
| 9. Loved it! | 60 (Kaneohe, HI) | 06/2009 | 06/2009 | |
| The beach villas are such a gorgeous place to stay. Our grandchildren had such a wonderful time at the pools, the Jacuzzi, the beach and feeding the fishes in the koi pond. We walked along the pristine lagoons and caught some fabulous sunsets.
The unit was just beautiful. Very luxurious and very comfortable. It was clean and well kept. It was much more than I expected. Thu was such a pleasure to deal with. She was very prompt in responding and very, very helpful. I’m looking forward to booking another stay here with my family. |

| 10. The only bad thing about this vacation was... | dynamicpr (San Diego) | 05/2009 | 05/2009 | |
| it did not last long enough:)
From the early morning coffee on a specious lanai overlooking the perfectly maintained grounds, and snorkeling with sea turtles off a “private beach”, to watching the sunset sipping a cocktail while listening to the local bartender playing ukulele (yes, there’s a lovely bar right on the premises), or strolling by the ocean under the full moon – the days were filled with delight. Ko Olina resort is a gem. It offers tranquility and emphasizes the beauty of nature combined with impeccable and friendly service. Yet, it took me only 20 min to get to the nightlife of downtown Honolulu. My favorite features of Ko Olina? State of the art fitness facility combined with sauna and steam room, pebble-bottomed Jacuzzi tub, and these petal-looking lounge chairs half-sunken into the pool. And speaking about the pools: it is the only place I know of where they check the chemical content of the water EVERY day. As great as the whole complex is, Thu’s place takes the enjoyment even further. First, she makes the whole process of reservation very efficient, informative, and friendly. The place itself has the best floor plan in Ko Olina: there are two master suites separated by a very large living area – it makes it perfect for two couples – you even have separate temperature controls. Thu made a terrific job at decorating the place. We saw some models, and Thu outdid the interior designers. Her unit feels more spacious; classy and cozy at the same time: I would blame it on the wonderful linens, and the special art from a gallery in London. The other feature I have to comment on is the state of the art kitchen, where cooking is more of a delight than a job. On the days when you don’t want to cook, you might want to take a stroll to a nearby Roy’s for a great dinner and pinitini (watch for the evenings when Roy Yamaguchi himself is there). Thu, Thank you, we hope to be back. |

| 11. More Than We Ever Imagined! | Ryan & Sarah (NSL, UT) | 05/2009 | 05/2009 | |
| I was trilled with my stay in this unit. My husband and I stayed here with another couple. I was a little worried about privacy, but once I got there I realized it wouldn't be a concern at all. The way the condo is set up with the bedroom suites on opposite sides of the living space made for a very comfortable stay. I loved that we were far enough away from all the craziness and traffic of Honolulu / Waikiki that our condo was quiet and peaceful. But yet we were just minutes away from all the shopping and dining we could ever want. The grounds were so beautiful and very well maintained. I was also very impressed with the beach right by our pool. It was so gorgeous and we practically had it all to ourselves. I would recommend this place to anyone, and if I ever get a chance to go back to Hawaii, I will be contacting Thu! Thanks for making our trip so great! | ||||
| 12. Luxury and Convenience in Paradise | jeju (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) | 04/2009 | 05/2009 | |
| We recently spent 3 glorious weeks in this luxurious condo, with our respective children and grandchildren visiting. It was everything we had read and more! The condo was extremely comfortable, clean and well equipped - we especially appreciated the double dishwasher and the efficient, friendly service from the owner, maintenance company and the 24-hour concierge. We loved the 3 pools, and hot tubs, and discovered many different fish in our novice snorkelling expeditions in the beautiful lagoon. This is an ideal home away from home where we could cook the kids' favourite food in the condo, or barbeque and eat in the spectacular gardens of the property. We also liked exploring the villages west and eating tasty food at the simple local restaurants. For those who want familiar chain stores and restaurants, those can be found just east of Ko Olina. Highly recommended!!! | ||||
| 13. Wonderful! | Tamdog (Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA) | 05/2009 | 05/2009 | |
| Our experience was fantastic! The condo is just as beautiful as the pictures make it out to be. There was plenty of space, high end finish on everything, and the grounds of the resort were stunning. We especially appreciated being away from the crowded hustle and bustle of Waikiki/Honolulu while still being close enough to go anywhere we wanted within a reasonable amount of time. Though we were initially skeptical of renting a place we have never seen and through a website we had never used, we were extremely happy with the whole process. Thu was very professional and quick to respond to any questions and concerns we had. Again, we loved it! We will highly recommend renting this condo to anyone who will listen! | ||||
| 14. My home on the beach... | Renewed (Oregon) | 05/2009 | 05/2009 | |
| Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay @ Ko Olina Beach Villas. The condo was a great place to recuperate and a quiet retreat! Our stay included viewings of not just fish but turtles and dolphins (from Ko Olina Cat). We hope to return and know your great service, and the quality of living experience will entice us back.

| 15. Marriott Ko Olina Beach Club - Oahu, HI | Ko Olina (Pittsburgh, PA) | 04/2009 | 04/2009 | |
| Beautiful resort in an upscale, gated, non-congested part of Oahu. About 30 minutes west of the HNL airport. Easy to get around with a rent a car to see the other sights on the island. Three pools, friendly staff, beautiful lanscaping, lovely view (ask for a high floor!) - would definitely return !! | ||||
| 16. A Slice of Paradise! | krich (Calgary) | 03/2009 | 04/2009 | |
| Wow...what a fantastic resort! Our room at the Beach Club was really well appointed. The furnishings were really nice, large LCD TVs in bedroom and Plasma TV in the main living area, Stainless appliances, SubZero fridge and really nice tile floorings kept it easy to keep tidy. The unit had one bedroom on each side of the unit (2 total). The master had a really nice bathroom connecting it with a walk in shower and the largest bathtub I've seen. There was also a patio door to allow us to let the ocean breeze in at night. The other bedroom also had a bathroom close by that the kids used. The shower and tub were combined but again a really nice bathroom. The lanai doors could be opened up allowing the main living area to be completely opened to the lanai and to allow the nice ocean breeze into the unit. We had little birds walking around the unit in the morning and evenings!
The pools, fitness center and pool side lounge were great. There were four lagoons that we could use but the one in front of the beach club was the best! The sand was clean and perfectly kept. There were grass sun umbrellas that we could use and the beach was really quiet with only a handful of other families. Compare that with the lagoon in front of the Mariot that had 1000 loung chairs and no shade! There were boogie boards and beach toys in the unit that made our experience even better. The lagoon was an incredible snorkling experience. There were lots of Pariot fish and several sea turtles to enhance the experience.
The Resort was a 30 minute drive to downtown Honolulu and a 20 minute drive to the airport making it a really great location. The sunsets on the West coast are incredible!
Hawaian Fire Surfing provides surfing lessons 5 minutes from the resort and we would really recommend this as well.
Great casual and formal dining and shopping ammenities within easy access of the unit.
Thu was a pleasure to deal with. The quick communications and accomodating approach made this experience absolutely memorable. We would highly recommend Thu's unit to anyone who is looking for a upscale carefree vacation at an incredibly reasonable price. Thanks for the great vacation Thu! KR |

| 17. Great stay! | BandG (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) | 03/2009 | 04/2009 | |
| We (family with 2 young boys) really enjoyed our stay in the unit. The villas are well maintained, beautiful pool and grounds. The unit was in impeccable condition. Beautifully furnished. The location was perfect for us. The protected lagoons in the resort area are perfect for kids. A great base to explore Oahu. Short drive to Honolulu and the North Shore. Grocery stores and Costco nearby to stock up on supplies. Owner is very helpful and dedicated to ensuring everything goes smoothly. Will return. | ||||
| 18. We loved it! | kcm (Vancouver, BC - Canada) | 02/2009 | 03/2009 | |
| We really enjoyed our stay in Thu's unit at the Ko Olina Beach Resort. We usually go to Maui, but wanted to try something different this time. One of the main reasons for selecting this particular unit was due to how wonderful it was to deal with the owner. The unit was impeccable. My husband and I stayed in one room with our little 2 year old daughter and my parents in the other. The way the unit is designed makes it really private and perfect for 2 couples. The living space was nice and spacious and really open. One of our favorite things were the huge sliding glass doors that completely opened up onto the deck making it a truly indoor/outdoor living experience. The facility itself was amazing. The gym is awesome too. I worked out with their trainer a couple of times that I would highly recommend - it was more than worth the $15 fee. My Mom had a massage and loved it too. The grounds are beautiful and very "resort-like". When we were at the little sandy beach pool by the bar, we were serended by the bartender/musician Moon with Hawaiian songs & his ukulele a couple of times! All in all, I would totally recommend Thu's unit to anyone - it's beautiful! | ||||
| 19. Excellent spacious unit | hdog (Northern California) | 02/2009 | 03/2009 | |
| This spacious, well-appointed unit is perfectly situated next to the warmest pool and the state of the art fitness center. We had a wonderful vacation and look forward to going back. | ||||
| 20. Home away from home | Paul and Becki (el dorado hills, CA) | 02/2009 | 02/2009 | |
| We keep saying "That was the best vacation ever!". Partly because of the wonderful accomodations. The condo itself was wonderful. 5 star in every aspect... We loved the lap pool the unit overlooks because we have 2 small children and it was warm and shallow. There were water toys, goggles and boogie boards in the closet and we used them every day. Thu was very easy to work with and Gabriela was sweet as can be. Highly recommend this place, we loved it!!! Thanks Thu, Paul and Becki El Dorado Hills, CA |

| 21. Beautiful Family Retreat | porkchop (COLUMBUS, OHIO) | 01/2009 | 02/2009 | |
| This wonderful place is where we stayed 9 fantastic days on the ocean front in this great community. The 2bed/bath was just right for the 5 of us and the amenities were excellent. We had great views of the pool as well as the ocean from our lanai. The extra/deep soaking tub were wonderful after a busy day! The high quality of linens and towels were soft and comfortable. We had no complants and will return as we can! Our family would highly recommend this property as it is very nice and great for your money! Owner is very sweet and does anything to help accomidate your stay!! Thanks | ||||
| 22. Beautiful Birthday Surprise!!!! | Rockie (Mililani, HI) | 02/2009 | 02/2009 | |
| My sincerest thank you to Thu for letting us have the privilege of staying at her beautiful condo. My husband & daughter were very happy with their birthday surprise!!! It's hard to surprise my husband with anything, but he was pleasantly surprised!!! The timing of our stay was perfect because a Hawaiian monk seal came ashore for the entire day at Lagoon 2, so we got to see him resting on the beach. That added an extra bonus to our stay. The accommodations were first class all the way. As soon as we walked through the door, all of us said, "WOW"!!!
From the appliances, to the furniture/bedding, everything is all high end grade. It has the ambiance of a luxurious model home. It is very well maintained and we made good use of most of the amenities, especially, the two pools, lagoon 2 and fitness center. Communication with Thu was always prompt. Of course we were sad when our vacation came to an end, but we're excited about returning again for a longer stay. Gabriela recommended we try the 4th floor condo the next time and we definitely will. |

| 23. Impeccable Villa | Current Houstonian ( Houston and Richmond, TX) | 02/2009 | 02/2009 | |
| One word to describe Thu's rental villa in Ko olina Resort and Marina - Impeccable! My 40+ year-old-husband, who has been recently handicapped due to a stroke, my teenage step-daughter and I appreciated every amenity made available to us - from the well-kept lap pool, hot tub, exercise room, lagoons, restaurants (e.g. Roy's), marina, golf course, and more. We found the villa itself to be very impressive - from its high-end appliances, comfortable beds, flat-screen TVs in the living room and in every bedroom, cozy living room and dining room, spa-like bathrooms, and most of all, the large lanai that overlooks the swimming pool. The fully-stocked kitchen, with 4 bar stools, provided us with the liberty to choose between eating in or eating out. We traveled with our rental car to nearby Kapolei, which is 3.6 miles East (6 minutes) from the resort, for drinks and/or groceries and gas. The drive from the villa, depending on the traffic, are as follows: 1) Pearl Harbor: 15.9 miles East (22 mins) 2) HNL: 20.3 miles East (26 mins) 3) Waikiki Beach: 26.5 miles East (38 mins) 4) Hanauma Bay: 27.2 miles East (45 mins) 5) Diamond Head: 27.4 miles East (47 mins) 6) Kailua Beach: 32.8 miles East (41 mins) 7) Lanikai Beach: 34.5 miles East (46 mins) 8) Waimanalo Beach: 36.1 miles East (49 mins) 9) Dole Plantation: 21.5 miles North (27 mins) 10) Haleiwa Beach: 27.9 miles North (38 mins) 11) Waimea Beach: 32.7 miles North (45 mins) 12) Sunset Beach: 34.7 miles North (49 mins) 13) Turtle Bay Resort: 39.9 miles North (58 mins) 14) Polynesian Cultural Center: 46.1 miles North (1 hr/8 mins) My husband and I have totally fallen in love with Hawaii, although this is my 2nd trip to Oahu (I have also visited Maui, the Big Island and Kauai before.) This was my 3rd-year anniversary gift to him, as well as to my step-daughter who celebrated her 15th birthday by getting her belly button pierced in Waikiki. My only regret is not being able to share the beauty of Oahu and Thu's villa with my loving mother and dear sister who cancelled their flights at the last minute due to fear of flying, as well as with my belated father who blessed us with the gift of love for traveling. Nonetheless, we'll return once again and, God-willing, permanently the next time. P.S. Thu, thanks for your kindness and hospitality! Gabriela and Eric, thanks for making our vacation perfect! |

| 24. Our own paradise! | Bill and Kris (Libertyville, IL) | 01/2009 | 01/2009 | |
| My wife and I always felt that one trip to Ohau was enough to see everything we wanted to see, Pearl Harbor, Wakiki, the North Shore, etc. Staying in Honolulu/Wakiki did not offer the peace and tranquillity that we sought with a Hawaii vacation. It was too much like any big city.. This all changed with our stay at this KoOlina condiminum. Beautifully appointed, this home with the lanai overlooking the swimming pool and partial ocean views was a delight. And, when we went to Honolulu a couple of times, it was a pretty easy 30 minute commute, as long as you avoided the morning or evening rush hours.. We stayed part of the time with our adult daughter and my wife's brother and sister in-law. There was plenty of room for all of us and the floor layout has three areas - kitchen/dining/breakfast bar, lanai and living room - where people can congregate together or own their own which was very nice.. The appliances, furniture and decorations are all top of the line. I especially liked the 1080 big screen televisions in the living room and both bedrooms. At night, the area is very quiet. Even though the condo above us and on one side where occupied, we did not hear any noise coming from either unit.. The convenience of the state of the art health club made it easy for my wife and I to get in some good workouts. We were also impressed with the security systen needed to access the inside of the building complex and health club.. The grounds of the condominium complex are beautifully landscaped with 3 pool areas and coy ponds. Just outside of the gated grounds is one of 5 separate beach lagoons with wave barriers that provide for calmer ocean waters to swim. The KoOlina area has more of the laid back feel of Waikoloa on the Big Island or Kapalua on Maui.. On one end of the KoOlina grounds, is a Marriott hotel and on the other end a complex of Marriott time share buildings. Both of these are within a very comfortable walking distance and provide convenient areas for lunch or dinner should you not want to cook. There is also a great Roy's restuarant within walking distance. Although I'm a golfer, I didn't get a chance to play the KoOlina golf course that looked very nice!. My wife and I enjoy condominiums over hotel rooms. We like the option of eating in or eating out. We like the extra space of a condo and the feel of a home instead of just a room. This is a condo we can highly recommend. Bill and Kris Libertyville, IL |

| 25. Ko-Olina Beach Villas - Home in Paradise | Gladstone (Calgary, AB Canada) | 01/2009 | 01/2009 | |
| Our family spent 2 weeks in Ko-Olina in January 2009 and cannot wait to return. We had 4 adults and 2 children (9 & 11). Everyone was delighted. My mom was with us and uses a wheelchair, and it was perfect for her, from accessing the grounds to getting right into her suite. The kids had the most wonderful time, especially in the one pool that is maximum of 4 1/2 feet deep. The property is impecibly kept and the grounds are manicured to perfection, including beautiful koi ponds, fountains and totally relaxing hawaiian music playing in the background as you soak up the sun. There are lots of lounges, umbrellas and bbq facilities, but don't expect huge crowds. This is a quiet, intimate setting without restaurants or bars. The condos are beyond compare. They are well among the best we have chosen. As for the area itself, Ko-Olina is premium. In our case, we needed a vehicle as we wanted to tour the island and spend "some" time in Waikiki. It's about 1/2 hr out of Waikiki and very easy to navigate. Hawaiian Adventure Water Park is a must if you have kids. It's about 5 minutes away. Also, Paradise Cove Luau is about 2 minutes away right in Ko-Olina and it was simply set, but a great deal of fun. Here's the most amazing part of Ko-Olina. We went to Oahu during the rainy season, and it rained and rained, in Waikiki, on the north shore, all over...except in Ko-Olina. We laughed at how we would round the bend about 3 miles out and the clouds would break up and the sun would shine. Overall, if you are looking for a more discriminating, secluded, intimate holiday, this is for you. Enjoy. | ||||
| 26. Fantastic start to 2009! | Brits on tour (East Midland, England UK.) | 01/2009 | 01/2009 | |
| We live in the UK and this was our first visit to Hawaii.
We stayed at Thu's property with our 2 daughters for 9 nights in January 2009 and had a fantastic holiday. All of the arrangements made prior to the start of our holiday were straightforward and our emails to Thu were answered promptly and contained useful and accurate information. Our arrival flight was delayed but it was easy to rearrange our check in time with the caretakers who greeted us and explained everything that we needed to know about the villa and resort. We would have no hesitation recommending this property and resort to our friends in the UK and anyone reading this review can be reassured that the photos and descriptions are entirely accurate and if anything understate how beautiful it really is. We found it useful having a rental car to visit other parts of Oahu ( North Shore , Pearl Harbour , Waikiki ) and for shopping at the supermarket ( 5 - 10 mins drive ) but spent most of our time at the resort. Waikiki was good to visit for the shopping and for the girls' first surfing lesson but it was nice to get back to the peace and quiet at the resort. A typical day would start with a walk along the beachfront path with a complimentary coffee at the beachfront bar on our return, followed by breakfast then sunbathing by the pools. Sun loungers were always available and the partly submerged ones were great for cooling off. The nearby lagoons were great for snorkelling and in addition to the large variety of fish also had giant turtles as frequent visitors. We made use of the barbeques by the pool in addition to the excellent cooking facilities in the villa for many of our meals but also dined out. The best restaurant was Roy's (at the Golf Club and within walking distance of the villa) - expensive but worth every penny (or cent). We went on an amazing boat trip with Ko Olina Ocean Adventures (from the marina by lagoon 4) and saw fish and turtles while snorkelling then 4 whales and a pod of about 200 dolphins from the boat. If you are considering this property my advice would be to go ahead - you will not be disappointed ! |

| 27. It can't get better! | lovedthevillas (silicon valley / northern cali) | 12/2008 | 01/2009 | |
| My wife and two kids rented this condo for christmas and new years and even though we loved what we saw in the pictures and all our subsequent dealings with the owner, on both counts, we were blown away when we actually got there. you are RIGHT on the beach. on a aqua marine lagoon that has a family of sea turtles you can swim with without fear of surf or deep, open ocean - great for the kids. the complex has all the benefits of a hotel, yet you get the comfort of a home with brand new, gorgeously modern build and decor...stainless steel wolf appliances, sub zero, granite and natural stone and even a wine fridge. a fully equipped gym, lap pool, lagoon pool and an open lobby area are all so tasteful and useful. that's the thing: we actually used everything, and never felt like we were competing with mr. & mrs. roper with their $12 resort mai-tais that we'd find at the so called top hotels of maui or the other islands. we'll never stay in a hotel again after this place. you get everything here, activity and privacy and comfort. you can bbq literally five steps from the beach where you see all kinds of fish and turtles, and then watch the sunset, walk to other lagoons and resorts or the golf course, or take a short drive to waikiki if you miss civilization. as we said after over two weeks there, we did not want to come home once and even as picky as we are, we could not find anything wrong with the unit, the complex, the setting or the owner who we had the pleasure of dealing with before, during and after our stay! and if anybody could/would find something to nit at, it'd be us! enjoy this one with confidence. it really is a unique place to stay in all of hawaii (we've been to all the islands, and this is where we are returning to). so much so that we already booked for the same time next year! |

| 28. We Were Totally Satisfied with Ko Olina | GA Family (Moultrie, GA USA) | 12/2008 | 01/2009 | |
| We stayed at Thu's condo at Ko Olina in December for a week. The experience and condo were fabulous. The property is located about 15 minutes from the airport and was very easy to locate. We were met by the caretaker late on our arrival night, and he gave us the keys and a tour of the unit with tips and answered our questions. We appreciated the two bedrooms, and sleeper couch were located on the opposite sides of the living/kitchen/dining area, because we had a grandmother, grown son, granddaughter and her friend. The unit was laid out nicely for a nontraditional family to reside comfortably, with privacy yet together. The bedding was superb and the unit was so quiet and clean. No smells or sounds other than ours! I especially liked how the glass sliders opened to the large deck/lanai by disappearing totally into the walls. We liked the wine chiller and lighting, too. We liked having top of the line appliances and bedding, cupboards, doors and even hallways. The hall was even beautiful and we never had to wait for the elevator, because each key allows you to only go to your floor. So there was never a crowd or people going up or down, you never felt you were in a hotel. The condo has washer-dryer, towels, water toys and all the items you need to cook in. We used the grills by the pools and met many people from all over the world as we cooked our fish and meat. Then we ate on our private patio and drank! We saw a rainbow from our patio while we were baking cookies one morning, and also saw Santa Claus!! He was making rounds down by the pool/lanai area on Xmas morning for the kids. We golfed at Ko Olina, dined at Roy's on Christmas, kayaked over on the east coast, and toured the entire island. Had a birthday cake from Baskin Robbins and shopped for groceries at the nearby stores. Our deposit check was returned promptly with a nice note. Thank you, Thu, for letting us stay at your wonderful condo. We are sharing the experience with all our friends and would highly recommend this property. Happy New Year!! | ||||

| 30. Heavenly luxurous vacation on earth! | keyboard (Orange) | 09/2008 | 12/2008 | |
| We very much love our short one week stay at this new and top of the line villas in this beautiful and relaxed resort. We traveled with our infant and family. We feft so relaxed and very well taken care of, the minute we got here. The resort is easily charming and relaxing [perfect setting, not too busy, not too depressedly isolated, surrounded by the ocean, swimming pool, goft court, within convenient driving distance from Costco, Wal mart, grocery stores to get, say birthday cakes (we did for two of our family members's birthday).., like your neighboorhood, you know, to help us stock up for our romatic get away world at our resort :) or fine restaurant like Roy's (where we had dinner one night, just perfect!!!)]. For activies, we could swimm, boogie board in this beautiful, warm water at the lagoon with lots of fish, turtles, also good for snorkeling or just watching from the shore, or just take a lazy nap by the shore (underneath the ree new, clean, beautiful bungalos or just shades of trees in the lulaby of the wave, wind, bird, in the mist of salty air scaresing and rejuvenating your skin). We also drove arround the island for couple days to visit other attractive points, and still felt very happy with the resort every time we got back. Regarding entertaining, we found everything we needed here in this villas, from serving an elegant cocktail to by-the-pool barcecue (thank to the owner's thoughtfullness). The view from our unit was wide open, bright, very relaxing and up lifting. The bedding was definitely a "must love" point with top of the line luxurous Hotel collection settings, so soothing and inviting. The other luxury goods that we did not use much, but available, such as Hi def TVs. But, the washer, dryer were used every night (detergent, softener, and dryer paper were thoughtfully provided, abundantly). In conclusion, the resort is one of the best resorts, the villas is defintely the top of the line, new, luxurous, and the owner's thoughtfullness and talents to pamper us, by each and every single items in this unit, can only help setting it apart from its competitors (always work for us right :). Worth every penny!! Can not wait to come back any time, and hopefully, for more than one week stay next time. | ||||
| 31. Great Vacation | holidayseeker (Vancouver, BC - Canada) | 11/2008 | 12/2008 | |
| We stayed at the Ko Olina Beach Villas from November 9 to November 16, 2008. The unit is exactly as pictured in the website. We ate breakfast on the lanai every morning and many dinners as well. The bathrooms were very spacious. The bed is very comfortable (I prefer a hard bed myself). The unit is very spacious and well decorated. The kitchen is well equipped. I am grateful for the last guests who left staple food for the next guests (ie. oil, salt, coffee and sugar). We ate in every night. Since cleaning during the week is extra and there was a swifter wipe in the unit, we bought swifter wet wipes from Costco and did a quick sweep and mop before sleep every night to try to keep the unit as clean as when we first arrived. Gabriel, the cleaner did a great job cleaning (my sister-in law stayed at a gated community just outside the Ko Olina security and her house was not cleaned properly at all). The view from the unit of the pool was very pleasant. Thu, the owner, was very pleasant to deal with - we received our security deposit back within a week after our return. Resort - Pool: My kids (8, 4 and 2) loved the pool with the sand bottom. I enjoyed that pool as well since I could sit in the sand bottom hot tub to watch the kids play. When we were there, many days we were almost the only family in the pools. The lap pool is very nice as well - my kids and their cousins were racing down the length of the pool. We barbecued hamburgers for lunch and ate at the tables at the pool. We also barbecued steak at the pool one night. Beach - the sand was raked every morning or night. The water is very calm. When snorkeling we saw a school of clown fish (Nemo?), turtles and other tropical fish. One day a sea lion swam into the lagoon and landed at the beach. My kids made sand sea monsters and a sand aircraft carrier. Many days above us we saw fighter jets fly in formation of two's and four's (that was a treat). Resort - we did fish feeding twice and we did the hula dancing lesson as well. The staff at the resort is very friendly and kept the resort very clean. Golf - we went golfing at the Ko Olina Golf Club - it is a very nice course. Remember to mention you are staying at the resort (ie. JW Marriott or the Marriott Timeshare) to get the resort fee (do not mention that you are at the Beach Villas - there is no discount - our mistake). We will definitely go back! |

| My family rented two villas within this property and it was a 5-star, wonderful experience. Each unit had all the first class amentities and plenty of space to relax. The resort was very well taken care of and had all the luxuries anyone could want. We loved the pool options as well as the lagoons for our children. I would definitely stay at this resort again. It was wonderful and our family will never forget the experience. | ||||
| 33. Perfect Villas | Pineaple (El Paso, Texas) | 11/2008 | 11/2008 | |
| I am originally from Hawaii. My friends and I from El Paso, TX wanted to plan a golf trip so we decided Hawaii will be the perfect place for golf. So I decided to plan the trip and the first thing on my mind is where we are going to stay. So we decided to stay at Ko Olina for the entire week. From the very first time we drove up to Ko Olina, I was already overwhelmed with the greeting and the surroundings. This is a 5 star condo. Living with 7 friends for a week can be a nightmare however, we can’t complain about the condo we rented for a week. Thu, you did an outstanding job. The place was immaculate. The view over the pool was incredible. I was highly impressed with the Lanai door opened fully to see the view of the pool. What a view... The kitchen was beautiful with plenty of room and kitchenware. Very spacious rooms and never once my friends had any complaints about the availability of resources and things to do around the area especially Ko Olina Golf Course. Excellent golf course. The staff was helpful and very friendly. My hat off to the staff. My friends were very impressed with the resort and will recommend the stay in Ko Olina to anyone wish to travel to Hawaii and need a place to stay. Overall, my whole experience with the Condo was above my expectation. I would highly recommend to anyone wish to visit Hawaii. Good Job Thu!!! When I return for a vacation, I would definitely stay in Ko Olina… | ||||
| 34. Great, Relaxing Vacation!! | Adam W. (USA.) | 10/2008 | 11/2008 | |
| I stayed the Ko Olina for about 5 days (missed my flight in) and had an outstanding time. Making the deal with Thu (the owner) was easy and the unit was as advertised plus more. This is a super luxury unit overlooking a beautiful pool. You can sit outside on balcony and enjoy coffee and cocktails in peace and quite. There are multiple pools and hot tubs...all great. You have a view of the ocean which is about a 2 minute walk. The man made lagoon is great for swimming and snorkeling. I saw many fish and sea creatures. The gym is spectacular!! The unit itself is amazing. Each room is large with 4 star hotel quality linen and furniture. The only down side, in my opinion, was the location. It is about 40 minutes from Honolulu. There are a few places to dine in the area with Roy's being within walking distance. While expensive, you must eat here!! If you want quite, and are not concerned about the lack of night life...this is the place for you. Next time I visit this place, I will go shopping for all of my food and probably never leave the unit!! | ||||
| 35. Beautiful Villas at the best resort in Hawaii! | KimKhanh (San Diego, CA) | 08/2008 | 09/2008 | |
| We were at the Villas for one week, it was not enough. I wish I had stayed there longer. The Villa is spacious and built with expensive options inside out, specially the kitchen with all Subzero appliances. The villa is very beautiful and relaxing with very nice furnitures and three Plasma TVs. The highlights of the villa are the beds and linens. They are very luxury (feel like "Heavenly bed" collection with Westin hotel). We slept very well every day there. This villa has beautiful pool view, some ocean view and very close to lagoon 2. What we enjoy the most is to swim at the lagoon in the morning. When you walk by the beach bar, you can have free cold bottle water and coffe. The water at the lagoon in the morning is very clear and has many beautiful fish. I saw more beautiful fish at the lagoon than at the famous Hanauma bay. Enjoy the sunrise in the very beautiful and quiet beach is something I missed the most in this resort. This resort has very nice gym with steam room and sauna. They have very good equiments and each equiment has a Hi Def TV. The gym is mostly empty so you don't have to fight for the equipment. This resort is next to nice goft courses, and Roy restaurant. The food and service are excellent at Roy restaurant. Costco is 10 minutes away. We stock up a lot of foods and have BBQ dinners at the pool. Thanks the owners for having plastic plates so we can bring them down the pool for our BBQ party. Can't wait to be back there. | ||||
| 36. Lifetime family vacation. | ndosu (Ada, Ohio) | 07/2008 | 07/2008 | |
| My husband and I took our son, his wife and our two grandchildren to the Ko Olina Beach villa for our yearly family vacation in June. We had such a great time. The condo was so much more than we had anticipated. We felt at home in this beautifully decorated condo. The staff was so helpful and friendly. We lost our credit card and the staff went to all ends to finding it. The pools were a hit with my grandchildren, and the beach was just wondeful. If we ever return to Hawaii, we would definitely stay at the very same place. Our e-mails and questions were promptly returned within minutes from the owners and the cleaning service. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation. Thank you to the owners for the chance to stay at such a wonderful resort. | ||||
| 37. Fantastic!! | ciscelmeier (Acworth, GA) | 06/2008 | 07/2008 | |
| What a perfect vacation!! We spent two weeks in this villa and enjoyed all the comforts of home in a glorious setting. It was beautifully furnished and the resort is stunning. The pools are large, beautiful, and rarely crowded while the resort grounds are perfectly landscaped and well maintained. The beaches in the area are gorgeous and great for swimmers of all ages. We wish we could have stayed longer!! Thuha was great to work with and check in and check out was very smooth. The location makes for easy access to all parts of the island but the villa and the resort are so wonderful we rarely wanted to leave. We have been to Hawaii 3 times in 4 years and this is the first place that has earned a repeat visit. We are looking forward to returning soon! Well worth the price! | ||||
| 38. Our stay was heaven! | JamieW (SLC) | 07/2008 | 07/2008 | |
| We stayed 4 nights at the Ko Olina Beach Villas and it was not enough. The place was absolutely heaven! Our family enjoyed the great work out room, walks along the beach, and the swimming pools. We loved how it was quiet and you could always get a chair by the pool. We felt like we had the Lagoon and pools to ourselves. The weather cooperated too. The villa had top of the line appliances. My husband and I had a seperate Master suite from the kids. We loved it and hope to come again! | ||||

| 40. Great place for family to stay in KO Olina | CAKK (California) | 06/2008 | 07/2008 | |
| I would say this is one of the best value you can get for your family vacation on KO Olina beach. Location is great! You can walk to the beach in minutes. Beautiful beach for kids to play. You can drive to the shopping areas of Honolulu in 20-30 minutes. It is a brand new beach condo resort. Not too many people in the pools which are very nice. This unit is well decorated and equipped for family vacationers. Owners are nice and customer oriented. Our family had a great time and WILL BE BACK. | ||||
| 41. Best vacation ever! | WELUVHI (San Francisco) | 06/2008 | 07/2008 | |
| Our family visits the islands several times a year and this particular visit was the most relaxing and most fun yet. This is our second visit to Ko Olina in 6 months. The first time we stayed at a timeshare resort and had such a positive experience we decided to make another trip to Ko Olina. It was not difficult to see Centex's new development going up and I made it a point to visit there the next chance we got. We were pleasantly surprised by the luxurious and well-appointed villa. The owner provided everything one could want or ever ask for. The views were unobstructed. The beds heavenly. 5-star accomodations at a hotel price. Also, it seemed as if we were the only people in the building and on the grounds. The lagoon pool and beach were fun fun fun! | ||||
| 42. True Paradise! | Danny (Detroit) | 07/2008 | 07/2008 | |
| An outstanding resort! The unit was furnished and equipped very nicely and the resort grounds were immaculate. The pools, beach and workout room were nearly deserted and we felt we had them to ourselves. The caretaker was helpful and trustworthy, while the owner was extremely easy to work with. She would return e-mails and phone calls quickly and it was a smooth transaction. Our deposit was returned promptly upon our departure. The most fabulous sunsets we have ever seen! | We are very impressed with the owner's communication with us before, during and after renting this unit. Very detail oriented. Deposit refunded promptly. Sent excellent pictures of the unit before our trip and very detailed instructions for checking in/out. Contact in Ko Olina very nice and helpful. We enjoyed delightful evenings sitting on the lanai with a wonderful tropical breeze overlooking the pool and its lovely gardens. The beach was exxellent and the unit very nicely furnished & decorated. Well definetly recommend this property to a friend. Not too long a drive to Waikiki for the shopping experience but, nice to get back to the condo for a truly relaxing resort ambiance. | ||||
| 44. Wonderful Family Trip | cinnamon5 (California) | 06/2008 | 06/2008 | |
| Property Review: Because the property is so new, it was like having a place all to our own (literally!) The pools, lagoons, BBQ, work out room, etc... were so empty we felt like sole owners there. We loved the beautifully modern decorated 2 bedrooms! Owner supplied generous household items from dishes to laundry detertergent! We felt right away at home! Easy access to garage. Only thing we wished was a 2nd FOB key for more flexibility. Elevators required the FOB so it was a little crazy trying to keep a family of 5 together all the time! Other than that, we utilized everything making sure we experienced the whole place! Location is not far from all the places we wanted to visit from Pearl Harbor to Dole Plantation to Shark Cove toward the North Shore. Owner Review: Obviously cares about his guests comfort and smooth transition to obtaining access to the property. Great communication! Great taste in decor! Overall Review: I highly recommend to anyone (family or a couple) wanting a relaxing yet beautiful and functional place to stay while on Oahu! We hope to visit again soon!. | ||||
| 45. Sensational Resort and Apartment | Muz (Australia) | 05/2008 | 06/2008 | |
| We travel alot with our four children and stayed for the first week of our holiday at another resort. I was soooo very dissappointed with the other resort. Then we arrived at Ko Olina and this fabulous apartment. It is truely first class accomodation. You can catch the lift down and step outside to the lap pool which my son who swims competatively loved. You walk through the lap pool and enter the resort pool which I have to say the pictures do not do any justice to. It is wonderful and has a sand section for the kids. You can walk through the end of the resort pool area through a gate and you are directly at the beach. We spent so many hours by the pool and by the lagoon. There is a grass area above the sand for people like me who dont like the beach because of the sand. It was a wonderful swimming area and we rarely left the resort. Above the beach is a lovely path which is lit up at night and provides a truely relaxing place to walk. One direction takes you to the hotel which does possibly the best buffet breakfast we have ever had and the other way takes you to the restaurants. Both are quite good. Accross the other side of the complex is the golf course restaurant, I think its called Roys, and it is wonderful, possibly the best food we have had in a long time. Really great service and somewhere you really should eat at. The whole experience was wonderful and the apartment is one of the best we have stayed in. Large rooms, well furnished, and clean. There are staff on hand 24 hours a day for security and we felt toally safe the entire time. I can not recommend this accomodation highly enough. | ||||
| 46. Want to go back! | Darcy2 (Utah, USA) | 06/2008 | 06/2008 | |
| We love this condo! Not only is it beautiful but there was plenty of room for our family of five. There are 3 flat screen tv's, two full baths, two king beds, and a pull out couch. The kids had their own space and we had our own private master suite. The couch in the family room had plenty of room for all us. The kitchen was fully stocked for easy cooking. Sams Club and Costco are close by with supplies for easy meals. There is a strip mall by Safeway with tons of restaurants for eating in or take out. We preferred to eat at the condo because it was so beautiful and relaxing with a full view of the main pool to check on the kids. With a partial view of the ocean we could check on the current conditions. There were plenty of beach towels at the condo and the pool areas. We love Ko'Olina, the location is perfect. We snorkeled in the Lagoon and saw 3 turtles! We took plenty of walks along the beach. The grounds are stunning with music playing in the back ground. The staff was very helpful and it was just the perfect trip! I could say much more, but this really was a wonderful place to be. | ||||

| 48. Ko Olina Beach Villas Ocean Tower 424 | 5-Star (Atlantic Beach, FL) | 04/2008 | 05/2008 | |
| We just spent a wonderful week here. The resort itself is spectacular, but the condo we rented was the icing on the cake. It's beautifully furnished and screams luxury! luxury! luxury! The owner had sent us a portfolio of pictures before we arrived, but the reality was even better than the pictures indicated. We recommend this without reservation of any kind. We can honestly say that over fifty years of traveling and renting vacation homes, this was the best -- the very best! We plan to return this fall and thereafter. | ||||

| This is a first class stay all the way. The resort has "WOW" moments every time you turn the corner. The condo is beautifully decorated and furnished with top of the line linens, all the way up to appliances. The owner spared no expense to make sure your stay is fabulous. Your view is of the pool and to the left is the beach. The beach is a very short walk through the gorgeous property filled with dramatic pools and Koi ponds. This resort didn't skip a beat, and the owner is extremely friendly and easy to work with. I highly recommend this property to anyone who appreciates the finer things in life. Our family hopes to return in the future. | ||||
