During the parade, music is provided by Royal Hawaiian Band, Celtic Pipes & Drums and numerous parade entrants. U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Hawaii Army National Guard, Korean War Veterans and U.S. Marine Corps represent the veterans' and military group. The theme of 2008 was Hau'oli La Hanau (Happy Birthday) America! And that was the 62nd year of parade.
In the late evening, the yearly fireworks are presented which is exhibited at Kailua Bay and that follows an aerobatic demonstration which begins at 6:00 p.m. At 8:00 p.m. the place is illuminated with fireworks display and this is sponsored by Kaneohe Ranch, Clear Channel Radio and numerous local businesses. |
