The Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor was opened to public on 7th December, 2006, the sixty fifth anniversary of the attack by the Japanese on the Hawaii during the World War II. Situated at Ford Island, the site of country’s 1st aviation combat zone and a Landmark of national importance, Pacific Aviation Museum recounts the horrific events of the World War II in the Pacific.

The museum displays several historical aircrafts that survived the attack. The museum teaches visitors about the sacrifice, valor and patriotism of the people in the pacific. It also tells the stories of the sacrifice made by the heroes on the ground and the air that makes the visit an unforgettable one.

On entering the museum, the visitors are shown a short documentary on the history of the Ford Island and the military aviation by the Japanese air force during the World War II. After that, you are taken to a hallway displaying old postcards and photos bring back the images of Oahu prior to the attack on December 1941. On entering the main section of the hanger, one can see the Battleship Row or a large creative version of a Japanese Plane preparing to attack the Ford Islands.
