Queen Emma Summer Palace is one of the major attractions in Honolulu. This huge museum which was once a home to Queen Emma who was the wife of his Highness, Kamehameha IV is now preserved by Daughters of Hawaii in the delightful Hawai`ian-Victorian setting.
Queen Emma Summer Palace remains opened all days of the week from 9 am till 4 pm. Exceptions are during the major holidays and June 11th in the ceremony of Kamehameha Day. Entry to this palace is $1 for every children and $6 for the adults.
This museum offers rental facilities, meeting rooms along with the kitchen and stage, handicap access, a huge gift shop and adjacent gardens and great places for picnics. It can accommodate 100 people at a time. The beautiful scenery and greenery around the museum makes it a best place for picnics with friends and family. Queen Emma Summer Palace also entertains special exhibits, school tours and guided groups, demonstrations of arts and crafts, Hawaiian quilting, audiovisual programs and classes of Hawaiian language.
