The Center of Waikiki also features a host of around 140 special cart vendors to liven up the walker experience on the open bazaar, Duke’s Lane situated next door to the center of Waikiki.
The site of this new building also contained the first theatres to be built in the Hawaiian history in 1936. The three theatres of the Waikiki were closed down in 2002 and later was tom down in 2005. The Center of Waikiki has personified several architectural features from the Hawaiian theatres.
