The museum consists of 3 mission homes that once served as the workplaces of the earliest Christian missionaries.
Coming to Hawaii: A Trunk Show presents a creative and fun insight into the life of the earliest protestant missionaries to have come to Hawaii and the things and traditions they brought with them. They explore the sacrifices, hardships, and joys of the early missionaries and their families between 1819 and 1847 based on newspaper reports, letters, journals and the actual trunks and objects carried by them. They then explore the traditions and things brought by the people who now come down to Hawaii.
