The competition covers some amazingly beautiful land & seascapes in the big Island and covers the beautiful Hawaiian old coast along the majestic Pacific Ocean, the lush green rainforests, exotic rainfalls, old fashioned villages, and lane bridges. The race ends at the historic Hilo Bay Front in the Big Island. The Marathon course provides participants with everlasting memories. The volunteers placed strategically at various course points and the aid stations at every 2 mile help runners and provide nourishing drinks. After the participants finish the course, they are provided with complimentary massages, great food and entertainment. Big Island International Marathon Association remains open on Monday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and accepts all major credit cards including American Express, MasterCard and Visa.
