Rainforests animals residing here includes nene(goose), 'io(hawk) and the native Hawaiian gallinule. While you are in Big Island, include Pana'ewa Rainforest Zoo & Gardens in your must see attraction lists. You can enjoy a stroll with the peacocks or have fun in the shade of more over than hundred kinds of palms. Except for New Year’s and Christmas Day, the gift shop and the zoo, both is opened from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. On Saturdays from 1:30 to 2:30 is the children’s petting zoo hours.
