| The Lahaina Restoration Foundation has been successful due to the guiding influence of the Board of Directors who happens to be experienced professionals in areas of community, business and environmental interests. LRF maintains and oversees eleven historic structures in Maui and also maintain several collections of manuscripts, artifacts, logs, photographs, maps and other materials representing the rich culture of Lahaina. The Lahaina Plantation Days will be held at Old Pioneer Mill Lahainaluna Road Lahaina, HI 96761, on Friday, July 31 2009 and Saturday, 1st August 2009 from 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm. It is a community celebration with historic displays, music, kiekie games and food from the Plantation era. This event celebrates the times and life of the people from the Plantation era and would feature a special re-creation of the popular Front Street with beloved stores such as the Banyan Inn, Liberty Restaurant, Yamamoto Store, Pioneer Theatre and many more.
