Dr. David Burney and instructor Wendy Hollender as well as other NTBG botanist, under their supervision will help the students to learn the parts of plants and their purposes through comparison and dissection.
To make the event more exciting students are given the opportunity to work with coloredpencils and graphite to create sketchbook pages of fruits, flowering plants, seedpods and detailed botanical drawings. Here you will also get an opportunity to study botanical illustrations spanning four centuries of widespread library compilation as a means of understanding techniques and tradition still in use today. |
