Tara Cottage Vacation Rental in Kailua-Kona is truly a haven for relaxation and renewal. The cottage features a 300 sq ft octagonal main room with a 15 foot apex and skylight. Furnishings include a comfortable platform queen bed, an armoire, desk and a sitting area with an enclosed cabinet for cable TV/DVD. There is an excellent stereo system with a CD player and iPod dock, and an eclectic selection of CDs and DVDs. Tara Cottage is beautifully appointed with original artwork, Indonesian wood carvings and fabrics, and an extensive library of fine books. On the ocean side of the cottage is a bi-level lanai (deck) with breathtaking views of Kealakekua Bay and the coastline south. The lanai has a table and chairs and two comfortable chaise lounges for outdoor dining and relaxing. The spacious lawn area with its profusion of Hawaiian ti plants and bougainvillea along with the superb views provide a truly park-like setting-- perfect for special occasions and small weddings and commitment/ recommitment ceremonies. Tara Cottage was carefully sited to take full advantage of prevailing day and nighttime breezes and is comfortable year round at its 900 ft elevation. It is most appropriate for adults desiring a peaceful environment with few distractions. General Information Cost: $175 a night. There's no booking fee, but there is a $80 cleaning fee. June 1-November 15th 3 night minimum stay. We may be able to take last minute 2 night bookings. Please inquire. 30+days prior to arrival date will receive a refund less a 15% cancellation fee. 15-29 days prior to arrival date will receive a 50% refund. 7-14 days prior to your arrival date will receive a 25% refund. Cancellations received less than one week to arrival date will forfeit payment. Occupancy: 3 people Rooms: One bedroom, one bathroom. Complimentary: Complimentary coffee, tea and hot chocolate for your first morning.
