In the year 1967, this community was founded with the 6 charter organization that reflects the multi ethnic heritage of Hilo. Its facilities comprise of 3 public galleries that host the international, national and local invitational art exhibitions. There is a gift shop in the main gallery which features the locally created artifacts and art.
This place also have a performance space which serves as the black box theatre, a meeting room, art studio, and the dance floor which is among the best floors on this island. The balcony and broad lanai at times become the space for hosting the Shakespeare plays. East Hawaii Cultural Council is one of the best places to visit if you wish to experience an eventful and superb time. |
